The Game Brass Collaboration

For April Fool’s Day, I collaborated with The Game Brass on their latest video. This was a very fun project to be involved in. I always love playing Nintendo music, and this was my first time recording in an all-female brass quintet! Here are some notes from Daniel Romberger, the arranger:

Our April Fools gag last year involved keeping the "performers" the same and changing the instruments! This year, however, we took the opposite approach; what if we kept the same instruments but changed the performers? The result is "Bowsette," a version of the ubiquitious castle theme that plays throughout the New Super Mario Bros. series and Super Mario Maker that lets us feature a few of our female brass-playing friends!
